Resetting a quiz is done from the "grade quiz" view. However, the ability to reset attempts must be turned on. Here's how. First go to the Grade Quiz (for the quiz in question). Then click on "Display Options".

Click on Display Options

A pop-up window will appear and you should check the box to "Allow Reset".

Check Allow Reset

Now you will see the delete icon (looks like a garbage can. Check the attempt that needs to be reset and then click the garbage can.

Check the attempt and click delete.

The attempt has now been deleted adn the student is free to start the quiz again.
